A Word From God?

The Bible by many is considered as God's complete manual for life.  Comparisons have been made between manuals produced by car manufacturers and the bible to prove a point.  The argument is that, if we follow the manual of our new car provided by the car manufacturer we would not or seldom run into problems.  Likewise,

God provided a manual for us to live by for the preservation of a healthy state of bean.  And it make sense, who else would know how to care for ones creation but the creator.

Many people are familiar with the term, "prevention is better than a cure."  Wouldn't it help a whole lot if the citizen's of earth would practice just that?

The Bible actually speaks of a preventative life style and that would be complete obedience to his word.  The Lord said in Exodus 15:25-27:

"If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee."

The question we asked is, "what are the diseases of the Egyptians.  Dr Rosalie David of Manchester University did autopsies on many Egyptian mummies.  She found that the mummies died from heart disease, cancer, hardening of the arteries and high blood pressure.  Dr. Claude Rufeis did x-rays on 14000 mummies.  He found that the mummies died from heart disease, cancer, arthrites, obesity, high blood pressure and rheumatism.  We know for a fact that diet is directly related to all the diseases listed above.

If we would follow Gods plan/manual - sunlight, fresh air, proper rest, exercise, lots of water and good nutrition - we would be alright.  Those six preventive lifestyle gems are the same gems that will promote healing and restoration.  Again God is saying to us in John 3:2, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth."
